実りの秋Autumn of fruit

私は、どこの国でも秋は収穫の時期であると思います。

I think autumn is the harvest period in every country.

私の家では、葡萄も栗も蜜柑も柿も実を付けます。

In my house, grapes, chestnuts, and persimmons are also fruit.

栗は、小さいですが、とても甘いです。Chestnuts are small, but very sweet. モンブランケーキやマロングラッセが美味しい季節になりますね。

Mont blancake and Malon grasse will be a good season. 日本では、皮を剥いた栗を米と一緒に炊く「栗ご飯」

が美味しいと思われています。

In Japan, ‘kuri gohan’ (chestnut rice) is cooked with rice, which is a peeling chestnut.

I think it’s delicious. 

栗の殻を取り、皮を付けたまま甘く煮る「栗の渋皮煮」も美味しいです。

The chestnut shell and the ‘chestnut ink boiled with the skin is delicious.’

日本の畑の近くには柿の木が植えられています。

There is a persimmon planted near the Japanese field. 

栗の実が秋の夕陽を受けて美しく輝く事を『照柿』と言います。

The persimmon seeds are called “terigaki” when they are beautiful in the sunset in autumn. 

日本のお月見は、収穫を感謝するお祭りです。

The moon viewing is a festival to thank you for the harvest.

ですから、丸い秋の実をささげます。

So, we’re going to use the round autumn fruit.
